Mostafa Elkasaby
Mostafa ElKasaby has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and worked as a Teacher Assistant of physics in the School of Engineering at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He is currently working at Intel. Before joining Intel, he worked at Mentor Graphics as a foundry consultant. During that time, he traveled to several countries across the globe.
Originally from Egypt, Mostafa was born in April of 1978 and raised in Saudi Arabia. Mostafa is married to Manal Kandel. Together, they are raising two wonderful boys in Portland, Oregon, Abdelrahman and Omar. They have supported the Muslim community and their local community at large while living in Burlington, Vermont, contributing to interfaith forums, food shelter shifts and other venues. Mostafa served as a board member of the Islamic Society of Vermont for several years during which he coordinated many interfaith events, fundraisers and rallies. In addition, Mostafa represented the Muslim community in a House hearing session aimed to polish live stock slaughtering regulations in the State of Vermont. Mostafa is heavily involved with both of his sons and their Boy Scouts troop; they also enjoy outdoor activities. Mostafa also likes to read, travel, play racquetball and video games! Ahmed Ebeid
As the son of a United Nations employee, Ahmed Ebeid experienced the world from a very young age. He lived in six countries with his parents and three older sisters. After receiving his medical degree in Cairo, Egypt, Ahmed returned to America to continue his training. He acquired his residency in Chicago and two fellowships, one from Stanford University and the other from the University of Michigan. After working in private practice on the East Coast for seven years, he now has his own pain management clinic in McMinnville. A strong advocate of humanitarian relief efforts, Ahmed travels on medical missions whenever possible.
Living in Beaverton, he shares his life with his wife Nora and their two sons and daughter. Coming from a large extended family, Ahmed is always looking forward to hosting or visiting family. Ahmed’s family kindly foster children and hosting refugees arriving to Portland. Otherwise, he enjoys spending time with Nora and the children, playing chess at home and going outdoors to hike, camp, ski and white water raft. |
Fawzy Elbarbry
Fawzy Elbarbry is a pharmacist and a professor of Pharmacy at Pacific University. Fawzy received his pharmacy degree from Egypt and a PhD from Canada. Fawzy is married and has two kids, Moaaz and Menna. Fawzy lives in Hillsboro, loves to read history books and play soccer.
Doaa Elhaggan
Doaa is a construction engineer at Beaverton School District. Doaa was born in the UK, then moved to Kuwait where she attended her primary school years. As a child, Doaa travelled the world and visited many countries in Europe besides the US and Canada. In her early teens, she moved to Egypt and attended secondary school and graduated with Bachelor of Science in construction engineering and management from the American University in Cairo. Doaa has Masters of Law in construction law & arbitration. Doaa moved with her husband, Diaa to the United States in 2002 and they lived in West Virginia where he completed his PhD in computer engineering. They moved to Portland when Diaa joined Intel in 2006. Doaa is blessed with two kids; Omar and Salma. Doaa likes to be around people and she enjoys being active serving her community. She was a regular volunteer with cub scouts, served as vice president of PTO board, assumed a long-term volunteer position offering project management help at Habitat for Humanity, and has been part of the Portland Refugee Support Group at different capacities since 2016, currently serving as the benefits committee chair. Doaa loves the outdoors and enjoys travelling, camping, hiking and running.

The Muslim Speakers Network provides education about American Muslims and their faith in order to supplement the curriculum of middle and high schools. We address misconceptions and promote mutual respect through presentations that are interactive, engaging, and comprehensive.
We certify our speakers only after a comprehensive process that includes training, testing, background checking and observation in a live setting by qualified veteran speakers. Our speakers adhere to strict guidelines that emphasize neutrality when presenting.
In an environment which is becoming increasingly hostile to American Muslims, including American Muslim students, it is crucial to provide educators with content and speakers that provide an accurate and balanced description of this major world religion and its adherents.
